Let this be the last post for the Labour party

Electoral fraud. Huh. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing. It'll come to no surprise to you that days before P-Day, another postal crisis has hit the country. Not content with getting the support through sheer hard work or the right way, some councillor candidates feel they shouldn't leave their fate in voters' hands.

The papers have put Tower Hamlets, known for appearing in Private Eye more times than weve had hot dinners, on the map this election after a poor Indie journalist got a beating after investigating one electoral sum that just didn't add up. TTG is from Tower Hamlets and as a candidate, knows the golden rule : Don't touch the postal vote, don't even breathe on them or even think about them. While TTG and her running mates did the election proper, knocking on doors and leaving leaflets in letterboxes, the same can't be said for her counterparts.

From addresses with 18 votes to one, inhabited, with six people apparently anticipating to cast their vote, it is not just the odd case of picking a postal vote or two. Nearly 30 cases have been reported in this borough, target number 52 for Labour.

Rather than use this an excuse to call for the heralded PR, the ninth wonder of the political world, (because frankly this fraud is like a bad smell and won't disappear with a new system), let us stamp out this disgusting display of desperation and criminal activity by setting up some real restrictions as to who should get a say by licking a stamp. Only the infirm, disabled and housebound should be entitled to a vote, only a letter away. Everyone else, unless you have a solid excuse with proper evidence to your absence to back it up, tough. The polls are open from 7am til 10pm at night! Most polling stations are in earshot or not far from your walk home and the whole process takes a measly minute, if you know who you're voting for already.

If electors can't be bothered to make it to the polling station, they don't deserve to have a say in their community or take advantage of its benefits. The Suffragettes died for their franchise and the working classes fought so TTG and her readers could exercise their say without fear of patronage or their status. We all have a duty to vote so you bloody well must, in their memory if not for anything else. Even if it's to spoil your ballot or to waste it, you must express your opinion in the only way that counts. Hit your politicians where it hurts - the ballot box.

In paper tradition, Terrible Tory Girl, is coming out in support of the Conservatives. Quelle suprise! Those businessmen and women can't be all wrong and the Tories are the only party advocating a return to stronger society, a neighbourhood, strong family backgrounds and a return to rewards for the hardworking. Under a Conservative government, you won't be penalised for wanting the best for yourself and your family. You will be encouraged to thrive not just survive. The Tories aren't just shoving the defecit under the carpet for someone else to deal with and they're not giving up on our future.

Don't hang Britain out to dry. For a decisive, inclusive and supportive government, look no further than a Conservative one.
