This week's rants:1) The McCann of Worms2) Muzzle Mauling Mutts3) The Veg Pledge
The McCann of Worms
Exhausted but not out of steam the people’s paper, the Express still limps on, foot shodden but able to scramble yet another exclusive on the Maddy can.
Disillusioned finally by the pro McCann national front or perhaps by rewriting the newsflash for the 131st time, the Express ran with ‘Madeleine’s body was in hire car.’
The McCann of worms is not an easy case to pick through to find the facts. But it would seem to be a one-win situation for the shark like police who take the American premise rather too literally - Guilty until proven innocent.
The McCanns, including the twin two-year-old-some Sean and Amelie, have become victims of their own making by the media - The twins face social services after 17,000 petitioned ; Kate and Gerry’s wife swapping and past aggression towards their children have been dragged into the limelight and even Maddy’s toy hasn’t escaped the menace media as police revealed its scent of death.
Yet with conspiracy theories circulating conversation from paedophilic parents to the great abduction hoax, what should we as a nation believe?
However hard we may try to trust the doctor pair are innocent, there is always a doubt nagging neurologically - the doubt that the duo may have somehow been involved.
There are questions left unanswered for the doubting Thomas’.
Where are the witnesses? Why is Mrs McCann always so immaculately dressed?
Why does she not share the same emotional or facial strain as Mrs Payne had showed?
Why was Maddy’s favourite toy placed on a shelf that she could not reach?
Why would responsible parents leave their children alone while they dined, let alone give them sedatives?
And why no babysitter?
Why are the twins barely with their parents?
Why was Muret seen carrying a blonde haired girl covered in a blanket?
Why did the McCanns ring the priest and press before the police?
What advantage would there be for British forensics to set up the McCanns?
Why did police dogs smell her corpse and discover DNA in the McCann hire car 25 days AFTER she had disappeared?
Why would parents, who knew they were innocent, use money raised to help find Madeleine, to get themselves a top dog lawyer?
Why did a butterfly land only on Mrs McCann during a visit to the pope? (if the reincarnation conspiracy theory is to be taken into account)
But the maths doesn’t add up entirely for their apparent guilt.
There isn’t enough evidence to convict them and any material found in use against them is deteriorating.
As written in an article in the Daily Mail last week, how could the McCanns, if involved, carry a corpse without being seen?
This, however can go against the McCann’s theory of an abduction.
Why was Muret questioned in the first place?
Why would the McCanns go to such lengths to get the media involved if they were guilty?
Why haven’t the Portuguese police taken away the death-smelling toy?
What about the parents in Portugal who were framed by police, unable to track down their child’s abductor?
Dead or Alive, Arguidos or innocent, the McCanns are in for one hell of a ride.
Let’s just hope it’s not in a hire car.
Muzzle Mauling Mutts
It’s time to muzzle man’s best friend.
The fate of Ellie Lawrenson, the five year-old whose windpipe met a grisly end between her grandmother’s pit bull terrier’s jaws, should have marked the tightening of laws, leashes and reins on our dogs.
Yet eight months later, attempts to outlaw dangerous dogs have fizzled out to a low bark, and even Chinese-style council laws to have one pet per home in state owned properties were dropped in fear of ‘classism.’
Ill-trained, mal-garded hounds are left to their own devices from harmless barks to the more severe, attacking passers-by.
And it is the latter that now demands the attention of all dog owners after a London man was viciously seized by a rottweiler in Earl’s Court and died at the hands of its owner.
And yet this man, who was brutally stabbed by the horrendous hound’s owner after a plea for a muzzle, a couple of days ago is still in need of mention in the media.
Following the disastrous result of the Dangerous Dogs Act of 1991, now under review, I, on behalf of lives lost by the unmuzzled, pledge my support to kit out each and every dog, irrespective of nature or breed.
Wearing a muzzle should be obligatory when out and about in the same way that a seatbelt is worn - to save lives.
£6 is but a small price to pay to protect your pet and to prevent potential pain to others.
As an owner of a terribly tame and playful two year old German Wirehaired pointer cross, I can hand on heartedly agree to muzzle my Zebedee.
Despite dogs having a canine rights act drawn up as we speak, the responsibility of care of the dog’s owner overrides any ridiculous suggestion that mutts have the right not to wear muzzles.
Since humans have not yet mastered the canine oratory skills, how can we possibly know what goes through a dog’s mind?
Be safe not sorry, muzzle your mutt.
The Veg Pledge
As a try hard balanced journo, I did try to avoid sniping at our dear PM but the latest policy to hit the newsstand screams of statist, propagandist lunacy and deserves attention, for all the wrong reasons.
PM Brown, not content on his wonder boy status in all things politics, has moved to social ground with a new electioneering technique, (perhaps for a snap Autumn election) - conning pregnant citizens with cash.
Not unlike his ingenious handout of a strangely similar handout to pensioners a few years back in exchange for votes, Brown is to offer pregnant women a £150 hand from the state.
And no, it’s not to help pay for essentials like nappies, but for healthy eating.
It does make me wonder whether a newborn or unborn could really appreciate Jamie Oliver style propaganda .
How can this payout for the Government’s propaganda prowess, in a baby world of nappies, injections, clothes and feeding, possibly provide any real help if its restricted to organic perishables?
There are several problems with their veg pledge - if a pregnant women consumed £150 of fruit, would it not invoke an overdose of vitamin C and perhaps a nasty case of scurvy?
How also will the state be able to ensure that the money is not spent on crack, drink?
Will the money be issued in food vouchers for big organic chains where a single, free range potato weighs in at £1?
Surely the Government should set aside their citizen control and encourage them to help themselves rather than reaching for the cheque book when the going gets tough?
Another 80 million down the drain to encourage our already booming baby makers to try again for another life. Well done Labour.

Europhilication - Britain's New Plague

A new and disturbing epidemic, after months of flood, and culled cows, has hit Britain’s streets - that of Europhilia.
So deadly, this condition works its way through the human body, destroying sanity, pride and brain cells as it fulfils its aim to penetrate thought to one that is frankly euro leaning.
Experts do not know yet what causes everyday citizens to break out into pro-European discourse but the public are urged to stay in their homes, avoid radical literature such as the Guardian and Independent and steer clear from the infected.
The Department of Health have released the following document on how to spot an Europhiliac.
The public are asked to identify a potential sufferer from a safe distance.
Symptoms do not have to appear all at once.
Tell-tale signs of this worrying trend:
1) Pro Euro merchandise -A factory in Aldridge, England, started mass production of potential propaganda of Europhilia with their line of Euro play money sets suggesting “ This is the easy way to teach your child counting, how to make change.” Unnecessary when Britain’s currency is the pound sterling or is this an early warning that the Euro is to be adopted?
The Bank of England revealed a new design of £20 notes in 2007 that suspiciously look a little like the European 500 Euro notes.Clothes and shoes are often are marked by European size.Predictive text on the BlackBerry phone puts the euro sign before the pound
2) Health and Safety Regulations-A report revealed that UK workers get less paid leave under EU directives - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6943667.stm
CBI, attacked the Conservative Party for their aim to scrap controversial EU directives that could hit families and small businesses http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2007/08/18/cncbi118.xml
Airlines in UK have seen a 22 per cent rise in refund claims after the EU ruled it mandatory that customers could demand compensation for delayed or cancelled flights. http://news.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=1158322007
3) Acceptance of Euro in UK store chains
4) Rejection of a referendum on Europe Despite 4/5 of the public wanting a referendum, the state have rejected calls for one. http://www.eux.tv/article.aspx?articleId=12978
5) A pro-European stance/ UK Shirley Valentines who find love overseas
Most politicians
Sources close to the EuroSkep party told Francesca Preece that the epidemic is likely to have a “lasting impact and if not dealt with correctly, can have twice as much irreversible damage since the horrific signing of the European Union Treaty."
That is today’s main headline. We will back with the latest on this new mental health scare when our reporter returns, hopefully unscathed.

Brown Walks On Water - Daily Mail Exclusive
WARNING: Adversaries of Broon are urged to shield their eyes from this nauseatingly vile script printed in Wednesday, August 15th's Mail, page 12
What you are about to see is not faked, but the exact words that I, as a sworn troublemaker, decided to send to the Daily Mail after they produced this comment that screams of "love affair" and has the potential to envomit even mild Tories
"Hyperactive Downing Street is these days truly a wonder to behold. Floods? Brown's your man. Foot-and-mouth? He's in charge. Terrorist attack? There he is again. As for his summer holiday, isn't four hours quite enough? Then the piece de resistance. Miraculously, he managed to keep nearly £40billion in his back pocket while he was Chancellor - money that now allows him to display Prime Ministerial munificence with a huge spending splurge. All this in just seven weeks. How long before he starts walking on water? "
Please pardon me while I recycle my breakfast.
Sorry to burst your little bubble, dear Mail, but he is PM - that's his job!
And here folks is my response:A letter to the Mail
Dear editor - just a quick query, is Gordon Brown in fact the paper's new editor?
With the amount of bias in favour of our new PM, I am pretty sure that the departure from the right to an editorial line that is frankly left-leaning, is written by Broon himself.
Maybe with this now constant Brown drivel that appears in the comment every day, you may as well rename the paper the Daily Brown or more aptly the Daily Fail.
This new experiment will cost you more than just paper sales but devoted readers who turned to the Mail, believed to be representing their interests.I have corresponded with the Mail before when you chose for your splash to have a column by the former chancellor on caring.
Printing politicians' viewpoints is not really appropriate considering that this particular man of politics was second only to Tony Blair and was deemed to be the next PM, which now has been realised.
It was worse, even still, when the Express revealed the next day that Brown was blocking moves to help support carers, who only a day before had praised and pledged his hand for these “saints.”
Yesterday's paper demonstrated the level the Mail is willing to reach to keep up in this bias. On the revelation that Brown had pocketed £40 billion of taxpayers' money for his forthcoming election campaign just before parliament closed for the summer, the Mail ran a comment praising his “hyperactive government” and how he saved 40 billion and "when will he be walking on water?"
Sorry to break your rather skewed image of Brown but this man has robbed from pensioners, taxed citizens to the hilt - and these stories come from none other than your paper in the past.
You have a responsibility as a paper, despite freedom of press, to educate and tell your readership the news of the day and ultimately the truth.
If you cannot even manage that, with your school girl like obsession with wonder boy Broon, then you should not be in the newspaper business, but in the government.

Extinct England -(A Not-So-Righter-Shade-Of-Pale)

A story that could make me spit specks of cornflake with rightful rage - Englisher refused English job because English.
But when I did indeed read that very sentence in today’s Express, I wasn’t shocked, surprised or spitting out my breakfast.
The sad thing to come of this situation was not that this intelligent girl was refused an application based on her race and heritage but because us English actually accepted it.
Like a battered senior dog, again old England rolled over, letting the PC pup mar it with its grubby paws.
Oh to be in England in 2007 when the word English is a racial slur and non-existent in our enforced Britannia.
While us English, sorry, British born are forced down our reluctant throats to respect, accept and understand irrespective of name and colour, others fail to do the same.
For the attention of 10 Downing Street, which I note is run by none other than a Scot, I am English, far from what is written in my passport.
I have had applications returned and rejected for refusing to conform to British status. Foreign friends have equally been dismissive of my identity.
The Importance of being English ?
I could reel off countless examples of English discrimination - yes folks there is indeed racism against English crackers, but firstly I reckon you would think I was off my rocker, secondly there isn’t enough space or thirdly the thought police would be sirening to send me off to Siberia.
There is also the tiny detail of that those in power aren’t exactly your typical Englishers, with their scowling Scottish dialect, and I’m pretty sure I would again come under attack for my xenophobia against our very Northern neighbours.
Without mentioning the bias favouring the Celts with better uni, democratic and health institutions, I do believe that England and her race is being forced into extinction.
I may sound like a regular in number 23 cell in the local nutter ward but why else would the English be refused to celebrate, maintain or even speak of their culture if this wasn’t the case?
For the doubting Thomas’ out there, please do try to list existing traditions in England on two hands.
The country’s greats have been shunned from school syllabuses - Winston Churchill is just one example.
The Empire’s kin bullied by socialist scumbags, not content until England’s citizens pay their pound of flesh for crimes of slavery, occupation and empire.
St George faced eviction from patron sainthood only a few years back by our Welsh Archbishop of Canterbury who viewed him as offensive to Islam.
Even now on St.George’s Day, patriots are asked to take down their drapes by do-gooder-ninnies aiming to convince the public of their warped sense of the greater good.
I am after all, as a victim of discrimination based on my race, not surprised by what goes on in this country.
What shocks me is that we foolishly, after having one of the greatest empires in the world, and fighting collectively against our enemy in Germany in two world wars, have bowed down, without a whimper or battle, to the laws of political correctness.
I pray that the dear soldiers who died it would seem in vain to save England, cannot see the result of what they fought for.
Maybe just maybe a loss against Germany may have had some good after all....

Land Of Hope And Glory - A Modern Revision
Frustrated by yet another ambush on Cameron from all sides while the Government escapes any sort of rapprochement, a semi-attempt to send-off today's Britain, in the hymn, 'Land of Hope and Glory.'
Land of Scope and Story
(2007, - Francesca Preece - contributor- Andrew with editing help from Bupesh)
Banned of dope and Tory,
smothered by the sea,
How shall we save thee, little mongrel country?
Tighter still and tighter, shall Brown’s laws be set,
Brown sold us down the river, put us in great debt.
Lies and spin and controlling, each put on our men,
Haters of the state bullied and called Le Pen.
Throned without consent, throned to this poor state,
England is done for and no chance of tax rebate.
Land of Scope and Story, Russia’s lost deity,
In this pc run land, how can we praise thee?
Fed up and lonely, to the French plebs we comply,
Away from bureaucratic headaches, we gleefully deny.
Glad to be out of England, our OAPS sing,
Off to Sarkozy, away from Gordon the King.

The Tories Have Never Had It So Good
While Cameron gets up to his knees in floodwater in his Oxfordshire constitiency, the Brutus counterparts in the Cons grab their scythes, knifes and prepare to stab yet again another of their leaders in the back.
Today, my partisan paper, the Express revealed the plans of up to six Tory ministers to axe the very leader who has brought the party to its highest popularity in the polls since 1997.
As the Tory Traitors prepare to vote no confidence in converse clad Cameron, there is one thing we should ponder - is this a cry for help?
The traitor trend of the Tories to shove their leaders once they come into some sort of influence on the political mainstream is alarming and I feel, as an unqualified nut-case-corrector that this behaviour, often seen in children doing the outrageous to get attention, is a sign that all is not well in the Tory towers.
Are the Tory grassroots afraid to feel power after ten long years?
Are they confused of their politicality and afraid to come out?
Or maybe a more logical explanation could explain this recurring problem.....they're not in fact Tory.
Stranger things have happened.
Just think of the possibilities of infiltrating an enemy political faction!
Plenty of leaking to opposition rags, learning the ropes and practices of the party head quarters, breaking the party from within....the list is endless.
What if this in fact Labour's way of ensuring that the Tories cannot and won't ever get into 10 Downing Street again?
If revealed true, it would certainly improve my stance towards the government.
While it is utterly nuts, what makes this quite croyable is that none of the MPs have dared to reveal their names.
Surely this is proof?
If these "gutless snipers" (Andrew Mitchell) felt so strongly about Cameron's whereabouts, why are they so spineless not to go public with their heart held views?
Cowardice? Perhaps
Success complex? Maybe
Labour's new way to quash opposition? Very probable
The Tories have never had it so good so why are they so bent on destroying their chances to rid for once and for all, the loony lefties and head of this sleazeful excuse for a government, King John?
Buck your ideas up, won't you, dear Tories - there's an election to be won!

No-Budgefield - NEWSFLASH - Labour gets in (again)
Unsurprisingly again, the Conservatives have come under attack for firstly the defect of Tony Lit to the party, which was seen by outside politicians as humiliating, and secondly for failing to uproot Labour's stronghold in Ealing and Southall.
Liberal Democrat MP Ed Davey said that this showed the weakness in David Cameron as leader choice but did anyone really expect any different than a red victory in these constituencies?
One should remember that Sedgfield was Tony Blair's voting ground, he was MP there only a month or so ago - I doubt that the political landscape would have changed so dramatically over a matter of four weeks.
Southall, too, has typically been a source of many of Labour's seats in the past and for a labour-turned tory politician to walk in and take 8,000 of the votes, even after the donor scandal is pretty impressive.
Congratulations is to be given to the Liberal Democrats for coming second on both counts.
Bravo. With the choice of sleaze on the left, sleaze on the right and unknown sleaze, I guess the disaffected enfranchised decided to take the libdemos for a spin.
Though perhaps with the party's track record in electoral success, it would seem to be a bit of a waste of a vote.
But I don't think that these constituents are quite up to the challenge of ticking the Tory box quite yet.
This simplistic distinction between the three probably explains why even after the dawning of a decade of wages, war and waiting lists, Ealing residents and Southall guises chose to stick to the mantra of 'better the devil you know.'
Still, biased as always,in an ideal world, I would have preferred a Tory outcome.
I wonder whether Labour would have had the same success if there had been a better turn out.
44 odd per cent is not very representative at all of the constituency.
The plus side is that out of the little turn out we managed to seize a slice.
Good efforts Tory chaps!
If only Aunty Beeb and the media hound dogs would take these into consideration and see the result as the best man winning rather than taking the view that it is a show on Tory weakness.
Surely there are more important issues at hand for you to scrutinise and criticise rather than Cameron.
I'm sure he's taking this with a pinch of salt and celebrating that at least they got something and the Lib Dems and Tories did manage to reduce the Labour majority by a bleeding lot.
That's gotta put a smile on Cameron's face - it sure does on mine :)
