Happy New Year!

Rumour has it, excited Broon can't wait to unwrap his election campaign as he pushes the date forward yet again with claims that it could now be as early as the New Year!

When the polling gets tough for the Tories, it's funny how Labour get less tougher on the idea of popping the election question.

Here's an early toast to 2010 - the year that WE CAN for once and for all get rid of rubbish - our incumbent government.

Thanks Gord for the belated Christmas present - one, us Tories shall cherish for years to come.

But will he bottle it again like he did a couple of years ago? If they are basing the decision to go 'early' in March on a couple of polls where they are only 9 or 10 pts behind I think they will soon revise their thinking once the post-Christmas blues start making the electorate feel even more pessimistic about Labour again. Saying that I do hope he goes early and we can finally have a vote on Mr Brown's record in office.

Can't happen a moment too soon. However any decision to go to the country in March will be because they're scared of losing votes later in the year due to the new tax and NI regime coming into play.
